Our music is a crossover inspired by jazz, world music and new music.<\/p>\n<h2>A musician gathering<\/h2>\n<p>Each band develops a unique relationship with music communities. L\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9fanfare is an outdoor orchestra for everyone, which turns streets and common places into surprising concert hall. La Corde \u00e0 Vent creates performances for young people. It\u2019s surprising and creative music blends traditional musical instruments with inventions out of everyday objects (wild lute). L\u2019effet de Foehn offers to everyone, musical enlightened or not, young and adult audiences, a contemporary composition based on musical and visual landscapes. The quartet La Table de Mendele\u00efev offers adventurous and explosive compositions, shaking up Bunsen burners. Nadja is a bass clarinet sextet performing Andr\u00e9 Breton\u2019s fantasy. TTTW is a new and original re-reading of the Who\u2019s compositions by six multi-instrumentalist musicians.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Arbre Canapas is an independent association. It provides administrative and public relation support for music creations and broadcastings (concert planning, record production, communication tools\u2026) as well as education and community programs for each project.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Arbre Canapas is supported by the General Council of Ain, The Regional Council of Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes, the DRAC (Ministry of Culture), the ADAMI, the SPEDIDAM and the SACEM.<\/p>\n<h2>History<\/h2>\n<p>The musicians worked first in the group Isthar , Bourg-en-Bresse, department of Ain. Isthar had been creating compositions and musical events in the region of Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes since 1993: the groups Anori\u00e8n, La Grande D\u00e9formation, Les 4t\u00eates (\u2026) and organization of concerts.<\/p>\n<p>The Collective Ishtar gave birth to various organizations which develop various artistic approaches: the dance troupe Passaros, the free improvisation label Ektic and L\u2019Arbre Canapas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Formed in 2004, L\u2019Arbre Canapas is a collective of Jazz musicians creating music, and leading education and community programs together.
